Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm so glad you're here.
I'm a Calgary‑based artist and arts facilitator. For me, art is a doorway back to the land, an act of expression, resistance, and care. It’s a way of connecting with the world around us and standing up for the ones we love.
I invite people to come outside, return to their bodies, tune into their senses, and follow their instincts. Through this process, we come home to the living world and to ourselves and create some cool art along the way.

Resilience and Ruin
An exhibition at the Three Sisters Gallery in Canmore explores the intersection of nature's, capacity for healing with human-driven environmental impact.
My piece Shoreline is part of the exhibition. It emerged from a lifelong relationship with rivers and a deep commitment to their wellbeing. I grew up in Montreal along the Saint Lawrence, where I witnessed the impacts of pollution on a once‑vibrant ecosystem. After moving to Calgary seventeen years ago, I was struck by the colour and apparent vitality of the Bow and Elbow rivers. Over time, I learned about the dams that shape them and began noticing small bits of colourful plastic along the shores of Glenmore Reservoir.
For the past eight years, I have organized annual shoreline cleanups and community art workshops, transforming beach plastic into art. This piece is created from plastics collected during those cleanups and driftwood from the reservoir’s shore.

Eco Art Kits are now available for $60 at Canopy Studios as part of their weekly Art Bar.
Come transform plastic pollution into art and create a one‑of‑a‑kind wind chime that’s not only beautiful, but also a symbol of care for our rivers.
Each kit includes driftwood and plastic collected from the shores of Glenmore Reservoir, all pre‑drilled so you can easily string the pieces onto wire to hang in your garden or by your front door.
Every Thursday, you can meet up with friends in Canopy’s cozy art gallery—sip something delicious and create just for the joy of it. At Art Bar, you’ll choose from a menu of playful DIY kits like watercolour, clay, embroidery, and now eco arts. No art experience needed. Just show up, make a mess, and feel good.
You can also order an Eco Art Kit directly through me—just click the link below.
